Accessibility statement

-Accessibility statement

Internationales Amtssitz- und Konferenzzentrum Wien, Aktiengesellschaft (IAKW-AG) endeavours to make its website www.acv.at accessible in compliance with the Bundesgesetz über den barrierefreien Zugang zu Websites und mobilen Anwendungen des Bundes (Web-Zugänglichkeits-Gesetz, Web Accessibility Act), Federal Gazette I No. 59/2019, as amended.

This accessibility statement applies to the website www.acv.at

Status of compliance with requirements

Due to the following incompatibilities and exceptions, this website partially satisfies the Level A success criteria of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, and the criteria of the applicable European standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03) in accordance with Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is not accessible content due to the following reasons:

b. Disproportionate burden

PDFs

Various, mainly older PDF and MS Office documents are not set up as accessible. For example, PDF documents are not tagged, so that they cannot be, or cannot sufficiently be used by screen reader users. For this reason, WCAG 2.2 criteria 1.1.1 “Non-text Content” and 1.3.1 “Info and Relationships” are not satisfied.
We are working to correct this deficiency in newly published PDFs. Decorative images are described in one sentence.
In our view, correction of older PDF documents would entail a disproportionate burden as defined in the accessibility criteria.

Videos

All videos related to content on the website are hosted and published on the YouTube video platform. Various, mainly older videos are not set up as accessible, as no text alternatives are provided (1.2.2 Captions, 1.2.5 Audio Description). We are working to correct this deficiency in newly published videos.
In our view, correction of older videos would entail a disproportionate burden as defined in the accessibility criteria.

Images

Various, mainly older images do not have text alternatives, and so do not satisfy criterion 1.1.1 “Non-text Content”. This deficiency is corrected in newly published images.
In our view, correction of older images would entail a disproportionate burden as defined in the accessibility criteria.

Podcast

Podcast episodes do not satisfy the criteria 1.1.1 “Non-text Content” or 1.2.1 “Audio-only and Video-only (Prerecorded)” and are therefore non-accessible.
We are working to satisfy criterion 1.1.1 “Non-text Content” for podcast episodes in the latest series. We are not planning to adapt older podcast episodes to increase accessibility.

Virtual tour

The virtual tour and 360° view do not satisfy the following WCAG 2.2 criteria:

1.1.1. Non-text content
1.3.3 Sensory characteristics
2.1.1 Keyboard

In our view, correcting these deficiencies would entail a disproportionate burden as defined in the accessibility criteria.

Level maps

Level maps do not satisfy the following WCAG 2.2 criteria:

1.1.1. Non-text content
1.3.3 Sensory characteristics
2.1.1 Keyboard

In our view, correcting these deficiencies would entail a disproportionate burden as defined in the accessibility criteria.

Preparation of this accessibility statement

The home page, a content page, and one each of an overview page and detailed information page for every other content type (events, spaces, corporate communications, scientific communications, press service, news, jobs, podcasts).
This statement was last updated on 31 July 2023.
