The Austria Center Vienna is now equipped with 400 LED cabinets that can be assembled into modular surfaces ranging in size from 0.25m² to 100m². As an event planner, you can use them to create flexible digital design elements throughout the venue.
Are you looking to position specific digital design elements exactly where your presentations, exhibition spaces, or entertainment zones are? With our new modular LED displays, you now have the freedom to create digital information and interaction zones anywhere you like – throughout the entire venue. We talked to the Austria Center Vienna’s Head of Event Technology, Christoph Santer, about this new feature.
What makes these new modular LED displays so special?
With a pixel pitch of under 2mm, the LED displays are comparatively high resolution. What this means is that individual pixels are no longer visible even from a viewing distance of 2 metres. The big advantage is that these modular LEDs deliver the same image quality as the permanently installed LED displays elsewhere in the venue.
And they also provide high image quality thanks to a wide contrast range and a broad colour palette. Very bright and very dark areas of an image can be displayed simultaneously without any loss of detail. This results in a more realistic and vivid picture. The images also appear more natural and colour-intensive.
What shapes can be created?
The displays can be either be stacked or suspended. The individual cabinets can also be angled horizontally relative to each other, a feature which allows us to set up curved LED walls as well. We have two curvature options available: +/-6° and +/-3°.

What are some of the specific uses?
Our customers can add an interactive design to specific areas, enhance them visually, and display content dynamically. Depending on the setup at the event, the modular LED displays can even be integrated directly into the action: as an exhibition booth, presentation surface, or movie area. They can also be set up as a social media wall for participants to interact directly with them. We also offer tailor-made digital interaction tools through our partner company, Flave.
What content can be played?
Any image or video material in the appropriate resolution can be displayed.

How easy is it to operate?
Our media technicians make sure that everything runs smoothly during your event.
